The Helpless Princess

Once upon a time there was a brave, handsome, polite knight who was supposed to rescue the princess from the depths of the dark dungeons. She was kidnapped by some kind of mysterious kidnapper who trapped her in a pitch black cell. Although, the kidnapper wasn't there anymore, but the princess had scars from what happened to her and because of that she couldn't keep going with her life. So she chose to live in the cell for the rest of her life.
After a week riding on his horse, the brave knight reaches the dungeon.
He walked close to the door, knocked three times and waited for an response.
- Who's there?
- It is I, Leon Von Hildegard, the brave fencer! I came to rescue you, princess.
- I don't wanna leave. I don't wanna get hurt again.
- Don't say that, lady. Things are different now, just try to look from outside the window. The sun is bright, the grass is green like it never was before... Your kingdom has prospered!
- I don't care. I rather stay here than trust someone else again. The last man who tried to help me broke my heart and kept me trapped in this very cell. Besides, I'm already used to it. It's easier to stay that way.
- What about if I tell you that there's somebody out there that you can trust and will be always by your side?
- There's no such thing. And who might be the one?
- It is me, princess. I came here every single week to check if you're okay and you don't even remember me. All this time I've been telling you that this deep, dark dungeon is just a product of your mind toying with you. You're very close to the exit, but you're the only one who just doesn't seem to notice it, and that's why I'm here to help.
- But I'm not sure if I can trust someone else again.
- Don't worry. Just get out of here and let me teach you how to live again.
